What Software Do I Need For Online Spanish Classes?

It doesn’t matter whether you have a computer running Windows, macOS, or Linux (or even just a mobile device like a smartphone or a tablet), you can take Spanish lessons online as long as you can make video calls.

What platform do you use?

We prefer to use Google Hangouts whenever possible, since the video and sound quality is high. It also makes it easy to screen share and send/receive files.

We also use Skype for video chats with many clients.

What if Skype and Google Hangouts don’t work for me?

If Skype and Google Hangouts don’t work for you, we will try to accommodate you and use another service. Some options include:

  • FaceTime
  • WhatsApp
  • Telegram
  • Signal
  • Line
  • Snapchat
  • WeChat

If the platform you would like to use for your lessons isn’t listed, please contact us and we will see what we can do.

Hardware Requirements

In addition to internet access, you’ll need to use a device with speakers (or the device should support the use of earbuds/headphones), a camera, and a microphone. Because Dynamo Spanish’s lessons rely heavily on video chat, we recommend an internet connection that is as fast and reliable as possible (e.g., broadband or 3G/4G).
