The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago is the southernmost island country in the Caribbean. Unlike many of its neighbors, its economy is primarily industrial (and doesn’t rely heavily on tourism). The flag of Trinidad and Tobago was adopted in 1962 after independence from the UK, with the red, black, and white coloring symbolizing fire, earth, and water, respectively.
