Estonia is home to some of the most well-preserved medieval architecture sites in the world. Its flag is colloquially called sinimustvalge (literally blue-black-white). Officially adopted in 1918, the flag was readopted in 1990 after decades of Soviet occupation (and therefore the use of the Soviet Union’s flag).
